School fences are often utilitarian and unattractive, but these wrought iron railings are rather nice. The founder's name is still visible although not very clean underneath many layers of paint, but probably "A. Dougill, Leeds" as Alfred Dougill had an ironworks in Leeds in the early 20th century.
