A train crosses the bridge over Great Western Road. It dates from 1937, when the road was widened. It carries trains from Glasgow to Dalmuir (via Singer) and on to Dumbarton; and to Milngavie. The structure is Category B listed http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB43373.
