A wider angle showing the roadside wall on the north-west side of North Road, with the Ripon/Masham junction traffic lights just to the left of this photo. The benchmark cut in the stone block has recently been revealed, having been covered in a heavy growth of ivy for many years. The mark remains in very good condition.
