This photograph shows the 'Swans in Flight' sculpture which is in the courtyard of Newcastle Civic Centre. This bronze sculpture by the British artist, David Wynne (born 1926), was installed in the central courtyard of the Civic Centre in 1968. David Wynne also created the 'River God Tyne' sculpture which is fixed to the outside wall near the main, south-facing entrance. Image The Civic Centre was designed by George Kenyon, 1960-8.
