Is there a more unusually situated ground? The club, founded in 1852, has its ground right beside the seaside and the boating lake. With all the day-trippers enjoying the sunshine, the lake and the fresh air as well, it's a busy and picturesque spot. Here the umpires walk out at the start of play.
