This listed building on the corner of Lion Hill and Lodge Road was formerly licensed premises known as The White Lion. The metal pole, which can still be seen above the front left bay window, would originally have had a sign attached. Today the building is divided into residential flats which are let. Stourport-on-Severn has had at least 64 public houses over the years, and today about 20 survive. As well as a White Lion it had a Red Lion in Gilgal, which still survives today as The Steps House. Sadly though, the Red Cow is long gone. Update January 2011:- The building has recently been repainted, and gained a sign. See:- Image
