The white, stuccoed frontage to this building hides a late 18th century construction, to which the shop fronts were added later. The whole place attracted a Grade II listing https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101177842-35-35a-37-and-39-high-street-newport#.YOTJwOhKjIU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1177842 in 1978.
