Railway bridge, Bethnal Green

This bridge was constructed for the Great Eastern Railway in 1872 and has always carried a heavy passenger traffic. In modern times, the lines are electrified and serve such destinations as Enfield Town, Hertford East and Chingford, also to Stansted Airport. The church of St. John is partially visible in the background beyond the bridge.
