The brick arch, lower left, is of a piece with other surviving relics of the Crystal Palace High Level railway station demolished in 1961. The upper floors are occupied by a couple of cafés, a florist, a newsagent and a takeaway. The vegetation is an extraordinary specimen of the common seaside shrub Griselinia littoralis, here on the way to achieving its full height.
