The bus is about to turn into the local bus garage, which was and is known as Aberhill rather than Methil. The distant landscape at this point is now largely concealed by tree growth along the line of the fence, but this also serves to conceal the waste water treatment works which have been developed on the open land in the foreground. The bus is no.FNV 42 of the Alexander Fife subsidiary of the Scottish Bus Group, an Albion Viking with the stylish Alexander Y-type body, new in 1969. It is fitted with coach-style seating and could be used equally for normal bus services (as here) or for private charter. This is one of a series of views featuring buses in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=137652761
