Jews' Burial Ground, viewed from Magdalen Street, with Temple Road in the background. In 1757 Abraham Ezekiel leased a plot of land from the Hospital of St. Mary Magdalen for use as a burial ground. It was enlarged several times over the years, although much of the original 18th century wall survives, and was finally bought by the Jewish community in 1977, after a plan to build a bypass road through the site had been abandoned. http://www.exetermemories.co.uk/em/_places/jewscemetery.php
