Perhaps because it wants to maintain a separate identity from Telford, there are reminders everywhere around the town centre that this is Wellington and there is a palpable sense of civic pride - including this display on the end of the civic offices. The flower tubs commemorate three town councillors, all of whom served as mayor and passed away recently. In front of them the England flags are here presumably because of the Euro 2021 football tournament.
