This small station was opened in 1846 by the Preston & Wyre Joint railway as the terminus of its line from Preston. It closed to passengers in 1874 and completely in the 1960s. View south west towards the former train shed. The building to the right occupies the site of the terminus building. The tower and the buildings to the left of it are built on the site of the small trainshed and platform.
