There are steep banks on the South side of South Calder Water, above the old weir. I was heading up to the fields above and noticed the fallen-off bit first, which was a strange sight. Then I saw the tree with the break in it, so it all made sense! The remaining bit of the tree looks like its days may be numbered too.
