Dating originally from the mid 18th century, and in use in the mid 1970s as part of the Adams' Grammar School senior boarding houses, this fine building seems to have been released from the school's properties fairly recently (2016/2017) as the boarding has been moved to a more modern property at the rear of the school. Beaumaris House was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101367287-beaumaris-house-newport#.YMPSoqhKjIU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1367287 in 1952.
