Hoole Park was officially opened in 1904 by Mr R A Yerburgh MP; he remarked that the citizens of Hoole had 'good sense to spend public money on public amenities' The bowling Greens were installed in 1908 and in 1911, the park was renamed after HM Queen Alexandra
