A wider angle showing the location of the benchmark. At the intersection of Skipton Road and Quarry Lane is the old Mission Rooms, now converted to a furniture maker. On the old stone wall that surrounds the rooms is a worn benchmark - on the corner stone, on the lowest course. It is quite worn, but can still be made out. The height of the tarmacked pavement has also slightly obscured the full mark.
