Historic England lists a sundial in the churchyard, but this one is outside it and doesn't fit the description. It has an unusual arrangement in which two gnomons on vertical surfaces each tell the time for part of the day (a 'diptych' sundial). The Latin inscription is "Carpere vel noli nostra vel edetua" which roughly translates as "Don’t criticise the time I give you but publish your own" and the date is 1717.
