Connecting Hurst Green to Uckfield. Opened in 1884 the line originally ran to Lewes. The section between Uckfield and Lewes was closed in 1969 having survived the Beeching Cuts but falling foul of the local council's desire to build a bypass. This view looks north west from the bridge carrying Sussex Lane over the railway.
