The shopfront seen in Image has been a general store, the Co-op, a wine shipper, the doctor's surgery, and is now on its third incarnation as a combined cafe, and knick-knackery. The outside seating - and the small sign offering more in "the secret garden" (a tiny bin yard round the back) are consequences of the "outside only" rule during the Covid-19 pandemic. At the time of the photograph this rule was no longer in force, but habit, caution, and the nice weather meant the outside seating was preferred.
