The Galilee chapel of Debenham church - one of the features Pevsner singles out for notice in the Suffolk volume of "The Buildings of England" lies above an extended west porch, but both were closed off and signposted as dangerous. Within the church, the west end of the nave and the area under the tower was likewise off limits, presumably awaiting restoration works.
