There are several silhouette figures around the town. This one is a memorial to the 1st Battalion Huntingdon Cyclists who were stationed in Filey in World War I. There is a national memorial to such service personnel in Meriden Image, unveiled on 21st May 1921 - almost exactly a century ago.
