Thatched Grade II Listed 17th century cottage remodelled in the late 18th century. Late 16th or early 17th century hall with 18th century cottage appended, later converted into a workhouse in the 19th century, and converted back into one dwelling in the 20th century. Two additional cottages belonging to the workhouse adjoined the present western gable that was rebuilt when they were demolished. The back wall and roof structure were rebuilt in the late 18th century probably when the smaller cottage was added. A rear lean-to brick and glazed conservatory was added in the 1990s (architect Hugh Pilkington).
