The Brookville Picture House was designed by J Bass of Bedworth and opened in 1928. It was badly damaged in an air raid in 1941 and rebuilt on a smaller scale as a factory behind the original facade. Karpet Kingdom have occupied it since 1987. http://cinematreasures.org/theaters/47223 The extension to the left, fronting onto Jackson Road, has a cafe with apartments over it.
