The Wyken Pippin is a traditional Warwickshire apple cultivar. It is believed to derive from a tree at Wyken, now a suburb of Coventry, in the 18th century, which may have been grown from a seed or seedling brought from the Low Countries. The Wyken Pippin was widely-grown in the 19th century, and Laxton's Superb, a popular modern variety, was bred from it. http://www.nationalfruitcollection.org.uk/full2.php?varid=6934& Hill Close Gardens have a wide range of traditional plant varieties, including 63 varieties of apples and pears. These include trees from the Victorian gardens which were found when the brambles and ivy which had overgrown the abandoned plots were cleared away. https://hillclosegardens.com/plants/flowers-fruit-and-vegetables/
