The Birmingham Buddhist Vihara, a monastery, was founded by the Burmese monk Dr. Rewata Dhamma in 1975. The Dhamma Talaka Peace Pagoda was built in 1998. http://www.birminghambuddhistvihara.org/ They stand near the shore of Edgbaston Reservoir.
