Verge, Howard Road

Howard Road has a beautiful wide verge on the northern side. It retains a few original hedgerow trees from before the area was developed and was no doubt originally land reserved for a dual carriageway and/or tram line. The verge was added to Howard Road when the houses were built along it. The road itself is slightly older, laid out and built sometime between 1903 and 1913.
