The delivery truck was delivering beer kegs to the Kellbank Hotel (formerly the Horse and Groom pub) and picking up empties. During the time the truck was parked the road was completely blocked as there was insufficient room to pass the rear of the trailer; long queues of traffic had built up either side by the time the delivery was complete.
