Neat and tidy, with non-essential bits removed, the shrouded reactors must wait until the 2080s now. On the right, partly hidden by the sign, is what I think is the new store for 'Intermediate level waste' which means moderately radioactive waste which requires shielding. As well as waste from this site, it is planned to use this facility to store decommissioning waste imported from Sizewell and Dungeness to save the cost of building stores at these sites. The material is stored because the ultimate disposal destination has not been worked out yet.
