The arcade was part of a block of assorted Co-op buildings between Abbey Street and Queens Road that included a department store. They belonged to the Nuneaton Co-operative Society and later to the Heart of England Co-operative Society, with which it amalgamated. They closed in 2016, although Heart of England Co-op remains in business elsewhere. https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/local-news/co-op-nuneaton-becomes-latest-11498404
