Class 66 66106 passing the old Calvert Station platform with another stone train from Tytherington Quarry in Gloucestershire. Up to three trains per day run to the HS2 work site at Calvert, each carrying up to 1650 tonnes of aggregate for the HS2 construction works. The trip from the quarry takes about 8 hours. The stone trains take many thousands of HGV's off the roads. Eventually, the old station and road bridge will be demolished and the HS2 tracks will be run here.
