Mendham Mill was rebuilt and greatly enlarged in 1820 of weatherboard with a pantiled roof. The adjoining mill house is older by a few years, than the rebuilt mill. The mill ceased production in 1938 and was eventually turned into a show-piece residence and by 2000 the building had been Grade II listed. Access to the grounds was requested and granted by the kind permission of the owner.
