Amazingly, the bridge name boards still refer to the OWW as well giving the distances in miles and chains. For our newer readers, a chain is the length of a cricket pitch or 22 yards. There are 80 of them to a mile. It is amazing that they are still used by a major national company in the 21st century. This view is looking towards Worcester Shrub Hill Station.
