Church building of the Catholic parish of Kitts Green/Tile Cross, located on East Meadway, opposite the shopping precinct and now next to Lidl. It was built in 1966-7 https://taking-stock.org.uk/building/kitts-green-our-lady-help-of-christians/ to a design by Richard Gilbert Scott of the famous Scott dynasty of architects. Its roof, with its dramatic curving sweeps of ribbed, serrated trusses made from reinforced concrete faced with copper, is a local landmark. R G Scott also designed the nearby Catholic church in Sheldon, but he considered this design to be the better of the two https://gilbertscott.org/our-lady-help-of-christians-church/ .
