The sign is surmounted by a tawny owl and shows the church of St John the Evangelist in the background. A ploughman and team of horses plough the land while sheep graze, and represents the largely agricultural nature of the parish. A red squirrel in an oak tree and a cock pheasant standing among the primroses complete the picture. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6804785
