Not real sharks, but fibreglass ones! They were originally a little further downstream on the Regent's Canal in Hackney and were the winning entry of an art competition run by the Hackney based organisation Antepavilion. Antepavilion have a track record of doing things without planning permission, so it came as no surprise that Hackney Council complained about them. Therefore, the sharks were moved to their current location in the City Road Basin. Looking northeast.
