The memorial was dedicated in 1920 on land donated by the Earl of Caernarvon, and was erected on the site of the village pinfold. The area has been tidied up since my 2009 visit https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1555447 with the removal of the hedge at the rear of the enclosure and the unsightly green bin. The memorial is one of the large number given Listed Grade II in 2018 status to mark the centenary of the 1918 armistice.
