Kirkley Hall was built in 1764 for the Ogle family, but was largely rebuilt in 1927-30 after a fire. This is a Grade II Listed Building protected by law. http://www.keystothepast.info/article/10339/Site-Details?PRN=N14952 Former Agricultural College and now part of Northumberland College which is based in Ashington
