This 19th century stuccoed house, with a later ground floor conversion to takeaway restaurant has been the Wan Loi for at least 45 years, certainly since the days when I was at school nearby. It was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101054357-97-high-street-newport#.YHFgM-hKjIU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1054357 in 1978.
