Alveston House is an early 19th century house on New Street in Ledbury. The sign over the arched entrance reads 'Hopkins Coach Builders' provides a clue to its past when it was the business George Hopkins and Son, Motor Engineers and Coach Builders. Not sure how long the business continued but it was certainly operating in 1916 because I found an advert for the business and I think it was still trading in the 1950s. The building is Grade II listed though spelt slightly differently. https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1082836
