The old building is the former Penn Brewery which closed circa 1900, and is now referred to as the Lloyd Roberts Buildings. Much of Penn Common on both sides of Sedgley Road has been used as a golf course since 1892-1893. There are many well managed attractive woodland areas and some patches of sandy heathland. http://www.historywebsite.co.uk/articles/PennCommon/Description.htm
