The sign depicts the church of St Michael, a doe and fawn by a bridge over the River Tud with Solomon’s seal and bluebells in the foreground which are abundant in Hockering Woods, suggest an idyllic rural landscape. During WWII the woods were an ammunition dump for neighbouring RAF Attlebridge. On the post are the Berney coat of arms.
