The OS map shows this old reservoir as still containing water but it has obviously been empty for a long time, and is now just boggy ground overgrown with trees, as can be seen on the right of the picture. An overflow can still be seen halfway along its West bank, and there is still water sitting in the ditch to where the overflow once ran. I never investigated where this water then went as I thought it would be shown on older maps but they, rather oddly, don't give any proper indication. I presume it found its way into the burn running under the bridge near the road junction down the hill at Threemiletown somehow.
