The ground here is still extremely wet, despite there having been no rain for over a week. To the left of the picture the field slopes down to the aptly-named Bog Burn. On the far right of the picture the practice area for Harburn Golf Club can just be made out. This land is on the opposite side of the road from the golf course and there is a large notice at its entrance, instructing golfers which clubs they are allowed to use and where, to minimise the risk of stray balls hitting passing cars, homes, and homeowners nearby. Most of the trees straight ahead now lie within the grounds of a new woodland nursery. This isn't something I've come across before - it is a council affiliated pre-school nursery allowing children to get into nature and wildlife in between learning to count etc.!
