Many village telephone boxes no longer have a telephone but have found a new purpose, usually housing either a defibrillator or a book exchange; this is an example of the former. See Image from 14 years earlier, long before the conversion took place. The house behind, Oakdene, is of 15th century origin with later alterations and is grade II listed. It had recently been on the market for an asking price of £550,000 (the 'sold' sign can be seen through the windows of the telephone box).
