Even very young children know that leaving dog muck on the ground is bad, very bad, but some adult dog walkers, otherwise responsible dog owners can be judged by their deeds, a minority leaving dog poo on purpose. There is one such offender in my home neighbourhood. Maybe every neighbourhood seems to have one. It offends me that such signs are even necessary. Sometimes it is blatant, criminal and regular and is one of the worst forms of vandalism. Fines exist of course but I do not know of any successful prosecutions and cannot imagine how it becomes easily enforceable. Education is the only way forward I feel. Hence this sign.
