Carved stone post by the A456, in parish of Bewdley (Wyre Forest District), 20yds East of St Johns Lane, in hedge, on North side of road. Erected by the Welch Gate (District of Bewdley) turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- BEWDLEY 2 MILES CLEOBURY 6 MILES Carved benchmark and rivet on top. Milestone Society National ID: WO_BWCL02
