The Samuel family presented a number of drinking fountains to the City of Cardiff, several of which were placed in the public parks. This one dates from 1908 and was relocated within Victoria Park in 1986. An inscription above the left arch of this ornamental fountain in Victoria Park reads ‘Keep the Pavement Dry’.
