This little gem has been scrapped and its room is part of an apartment now. Behind the photographer is a Greenwood & Batley De Laval impulse turbine driving a dynamo (DC) via a reduction gear. In the left foreground is the exhaust pipe with a copper expansion joint leading to the jet condenser in the centre. In the background is the DC motor driven reciprocating air pump. This was a rare example of the breed and its loss is a great shame.
