On the rear of a modernish annex to this old building is a huge sign for a chartered accountants. Since there is another identical stone building attached to this one at the rear, I assumed that it must double up as a very spacious family home. Checks have revealed though that at least eight businesses operate from this property, so it is obviously split into lots of sets of business rooms inside. It was once part of Orchardhead House, and although I can't figure out exactly when this building originates from, Orchardhead is first shown on maps as far back as the 1750s. Other buildings survive and are part of an old people's home.
